Partglyph MCP
Partglyph MCP lets a compatible AI assistant prepare a replacement search, run Partglyph matching and explain the returned results. You can say “use PG”; an assistant can also use Partglyph when you ask for an industrial replacement without naming it.
Supported Products
Section titled “Supported Products”- UCP pillow block bearing units and supported variants
- Deep groove ball bearings
- Roller chains
- V-belts
- Ball valves
- Roller-chain sprockets
- Tapered-locking bushings
- Jaw-coupling hubs
Starting a Search
Section titled “Starting a Search”Provide the product and any facts you know: manufacturer and part number, designation, dimensions, standards, construction or application requirements. A known reference and a technical-discovery search without a part number are both supported. The product and the available facts determine what can be searched and whether clarification is needed.
You can also describe a retained component, such as a shaft, chain or coupling element. The assistant uses supported mating information to prepare the target part’s requirements; it should preserve the source and units of the supplied facts and ask when a real conflict needs clarification.
Your assistant may read a PDF, image or other document using its own available tools and pass relevant facts to Partglyph. Attachment support depends on the client; the MCP connection does not itself guarantee document extraction.
Results
Section titled “Results”Partglyph returns product-specific candidate classifications, ranking information and warnings. The assistant normally presents up to ten selected rows in its first response. A preview is not a statement that only that many records were evaluated. Limits and filtering are product-dependent; the three newer product flows do not accept the same engine limit and filter controls as the older flows.
You can ask for a technical snapshot, a side-by-side comparison, an explanation of the checks before selection, or your previous matches. Details and history use the saved result; availability and response time depend on the service and client. The assistant must preserve the returned classification and critical warnings.
For ball valves, the selected results are organized by manufacturer, brand and series, with each returned configuration or part number kept as its own row. Scores are ranking values, not percentages. A probable row in a discovery-only result is not procurement approval; review the result’s qualification and restrictions before selecting a valve.
Connection
Section titled “Connection”The MCP service is available for local testing. Hosted customer connection and authentication instructions will be published when that deployment is ready and verified. Do not publish or share API keys in a conversation or configuration example.
Example Requests
Section titled “Example Requests”Use PG to find a replacement for my roller-chain sprocket. It uses 10B-1 chain and has 18 teeth.Find candidates for a 2-inch NPT full-port floating ball valve. I do not know the manufacturer or pressure rating. These illustrate the information to provide; they do not guarantee that a match will be returned. Keep the application requirements and product-specific warnings in the selection decision.
