Tapered Locking Bushing Engineer Guide

  1. Check the part identity if a reference was selected, or the supplied requirements if the search used technical details.
  2. Read the result class and any restrictions before comparing scores.
  3. Compare the family and family-specific size, as-delivered bore condition and diameter, and shaft/keying interface.
  4. Check any known retained-hub callout, mounting orientation, fasteners and other installation requirements.
  5. Resolve the candidate-specific confirmation items before selecting a conditional result. Review any rejected diagnostic candidate’s stated incompatibility.

Do not infer that QD, Taper-Lock and Split-Taper bushings are interchangeable from similar appearance or bore. A pilot or reborable bore is a different condition from an as-delivered finished bore. A supplied shaft, hub or manufacturer callout is useful only in the scope it actually describes.

Review the current manufacturer information and application requirements before purchase or installation.
