Ball valve results distinguish technical relevance from procurement release. Read the overall result together with each candidate’s class, warnings and release restrictions.

Class or outcome	How to use it
DROP_IN	Review whether procurement release is allowed and whether blockers remain.
FIT_OR_BETTER	Review the technical fit and the evidence and procurement restrictions.
PROBABLE_DROP_IN	An advisory candidate requiring confirmation; not procurement-ready.
REQUIRES_MODIFICATION	Review the named modification, approvals and verification.
PROBABLE_TECHNICAL_MATCH	A discovery candidate requiring further review.
POSSIBLE_MODIFICATION_PATH	A possible path requiring further evidence and approval.
REJECT	An exclusion supported by the reported technical boundary.
ENGINEERING_CONFIRMATION_REQUIRED	Engineering confirmation is required before selection.

A discovery-only or ambiguous result can include technically interesting candidates, but does not establish a qualified replacement. Candidate pressure ratings are catalogue properties, not the application’s required pressure rating. Ranking scores are not percentages.
